LALCAFÉ™ was recently featured in Barista Magazine for its pivotal role in a coffee cupping event in New York City. Hosted by Coffee Project NY and Gotham Coffee Roasters, the event explored how LALCAFÉ™’s selected yeasts developed in collaboration with Lallemand and Scott Laboratories can enhance coffee flavour, consistency, and shelf life.
The tasting featured experimental lots from Ethiopia’s Girma Eshetu Estate, processed using various yeast fermentation methods, including LALCAFÉ CIMA™. Attendees, including roasters, baristas, and importers, noted fresher profiles and subtle flavor improvements in yeast-inoculated coffees compared to traditionally processed ones.
