LALCAFÉ™ had the great pleasure of participating once again in the 23rd Alta Mogiana High Quality Contest, an event that celebrates excellence and innovation in one of Brazil’s most traditional coffee regions that took place last November.
This year’s edition highlighted the remarkable evolution of Alta Mogiana coffees, with outstanding results across all categories: Natural, Fermented, and Women. Our team had the honour of tasting exceptional lots and witnessing the impressive work of the producers who continue to elevate the region’s reputation worldwide.
LALCAFÉ™ Coffees Reach the Podium
We are especially proud to see coffees inoculated with LALCAFÉ™ yeast standing out among the best of the competition:
- Women’s Category: A LALCAFÉ™-inoculated coffee achieved an exceptional 91.6 points, demonstrating the power of controlled fermentation.
- Fermented Category: 1st place was awarded to Luciana Neves Vilhena, who reached an impressive 92.4 points: a new historical record for the contest’s scoreboard.
These results reinforce how selected microorganisms can support producers in achieving not only consistency but also competition‑level quality.
Supporting Producers Across Alta Mogiana
Beyond the winners, we are delighted to see several other producers using LALCAFÉ™ solutions ranked among the finalists in both the Women and Fermented categories. Their success reflects the region’s ongoing commitment to quality, innovation and sustainable post‑harvest practices.
We are truly honored to be part of this journey and to support the producers who work every day to elevate their coffees to new levels of excellence.
Congratulations to all participants!
Very proud to be part of this story!
